This fact sheet provides you with a general idea of what to expect when choosing to play for Glass City Soccer.
Girls and Boys U9 & U10
$685 per year includes all of the following:
- Fall and Spring NWOYSL Seasons (10 games each),
- 1 season of winter indoor soccer,
- 1 tournament in the Spring, 1 tournament in the Fall.
- Footskill Training and Open Field sessions
- Director's Training
- Full Uniform (2 pairs of shorts, 2 pairs of socks, 2 Jerseys)
Girls and Boys U11-U13
$760 per year includes all of the following:
- Fall and Spring NWOYSL Seasons (10 games each),
- 1 season of winter indoor soccer,
- 2 tournaments in the Spring, 2 tournaments in the Fall.
- Footskill Training and Open Field sessions
- Director's Training
- Full Uniform (2 pairs of shorts, 2 pairs of socks, 2 Jerseys)
U15-U19 (Summer 2011 Season Only)
- Estimated to be $235: Includes NWOYSL registration, 10 games, uniform, referee, coaches and club fees.
PLAYERS:
- Upon being selected to a team, players are committed to GCS for 3 Seasons (Fall, Winter and Spring).
- All Players must try-out every year. Annual tryouts for youth teams are held after the Spring season ends.
- Annual Tryouts for Junior (High School) Teams will be held in Mid-Winter.
- All players are welcome regardless of where they live. Michigan players do need to pay an additional fee to the State Association.
- Playing other sports outside of a school sport is acceptable but we expect that soccer will take priority.
PRACTICE:
- Most teams practice in the evenings at Erme Soccer Field 2-3 times a week
GAMES:- There are usually 10-12 games scheduled each season.
- We play teams from Toledo, Maumee, Sylvania, Perrysburg, Fremont, B.G. etc. in the Northwest Ohio Youth Soccer League.
OTHER INFO:- All Teams compete in the NWOYSL.
- Fees are broken up into payments over an 11 month time period.
- Tournaments, Practices, League Fees, Referee Fees, and indoor soccer fees are all included for the entire year.
- Teams typically complete in 1-2 tournaments per season.
- No refunds will be honored once the registration commitment is signed.
- The Fall season usually begins in September and ends in late October or the beginning of November.
- The Spring season begins after April 1st and ends in June or early July.
- Each player will be expected to participate in a seasonal fundraiser. The fees above do not take into account any fundraising or sponsorship efforts.
